About me
I am a fully qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapist. I have been working in private practice for several years and enjoy every minute of it.
My personal journey began with my own hearing difficulties which steadily got worse and required surgical intervention which restored my hearing to 100%. Following this I developed a fascination around communication disorders, and I was fortunate to be able to continue my interest as my field of study in college and on into professional life.
What’s unique about the service I am offering is that I come to your home rather than you coming to a strange, unfamiliar, and perhaps less accessible environment. This allows everyone to be more relaxed and reduces the stress on the whole family.
In addition to working in your home, I liaise with the HSE, school, carers and team members in order to get a holistic profile of who I will be working with.
I’m very passionate about what I do and am committed to ongoing Continued Professional Development. I am sincerely looking forward to meeting and working with your family. I deliver high quality care and work as a team member. I offer assignments to do at home when I am not with you and am always available for reassurances.

Other interests & charity work
When I can I like to give some of my time to charity work especially in the area of child welfare and have enjoyed my times spent working with Childline - answering the phone lines for a number of years, at Barretstown working as a 'cara' to families who came, and with various stroke support groups.
When I'm not working I can be found in my garden, on horseback or enjoying a good book!
